Roundup: 3 Free Hotel Nights, Starbucks Gold Status, Walmart Double Points, and more!

Welcome to our weekly roundup! All the points and miles news from around the web in one place.

The Wyndham credit cards all time high signup bonuses are back! With just a $75 annual fee get 3 free nights at any Wyndham property. Check out a nice rundown by FrequentMiler with the card options and benefits of each.

Starbucks Gold status means you can rack up free items at Starbucks very quickly. Rather than having to spend $150 in a year to get to Gold you now can get Gold with just one purchase in December. Time to finally jump on this train with my next peppermint mocha!

Walmart isn’t my favorite spot to get some shopping done but it is definitely the biggest retail option out there. Now American Express has added Walmart to its long list of establishments where you can get double points! Other double points options include Macy’s, Gap, Best Buy, and more.

IHG’s new Accelerate promotion is out. I was targeted for up to 47,000 bonus points including 2,000 for my first stay and 5,600 for any Holiday Inn stay.

JetBlue has made unfortunate negative changes to their fees including a $75 fee for same day standby (used to be free) and credit for fare drops only within 5 days of booking.

In personal finance news, Out & Out has a nice recap of the best IRA’s for the average person. Because first class travel doesn’t add to your 401k balance!

That’s it from around the web! Have a happy weekend everyone and if someone knows what I should do with 900 miscellaneous Amtrak points when I live in Phoenix please let me know…
