Amex Offers Growing For Blue Business Plus Card

You probably already know I’m a huge fan of the Amex Blue Business Plus card. The card comes with no annual fee and gives a very generous 2X Membership Rewards points on all purchases up to $50,000/year. This is one part of our household’s three card rotation for all of our spending: Chase Sapphire Reserve, Amex Everyday Preferred, and Amex Blue Business Plus. Since Chase Ultimate Rewards and Amex Membership Rewards are valued at ~ 1.8 cents each, our earnings structure looks like this:

  • Travel & Dining: 3X Points Chase Sapphire Reserve (5.4% Value)
  • Gas: 3X Points Amex EDP (5.4% Value)
  • Groceries: 4.5X Points Amex EDP (8.1% Value)
  • Everything Else: 2X Points Amex BBP (3.6% Value)

Of course we open other credit cards from time to time, but typically just for the sign up bonuses. Our normal spending is limited to the three cards above.

Amex Blue Business Plus: Where Are The Amex Offers?

One of the unique features of Amex credit cards are the popular “Amex Offers”. Most cards are usually targeted for dozens, if not hundreds of offers from popular retailers, hotels, restaurants, and more. For example, my Amex Everyday Preferred Card currently has over 100 offers ranging from $70 off Conrad Hotels to $5 off FedEx Office purchases.

When the the Blue Business Plus card launched earlier this year, many cardholders noticed the lack of Amex offers. In many cases, there were literally none. A few months later a couple were sprinkled in, but for the most part it was very slim pickings. To my delight, I logged in to my Amex account today and was surprised to see over 20 offers available for the Blue Business Plus account! Granted most of the offers were for retailers I likely won’t use, but it’s a start. Here’s a few screen shots for you:

Bottom Line

To our delight, we’re finally seeing Amex Offers growing for Blue Business Plus credit cards. None of these offers are specifically noteworthy on their own. However, it’s a good sign that Amex is preparing more offers for the Blue Business Plus. With any luck, the BBP offers will soon be on par with the rest of Amex’s offerings. Have you seen an increase in BBP offers? If so, let us know what you’re seeing!
