Wow that was fast. It seems like just yesterday that Season 9 of “Parts Unknown” starring Anthony Bourdain launched. I suppose when you’ve got a hit show, you might as well rush another season out there. Season 10 of my favorite travel show is scheduled to premier Sunday, October 1st. If you’re like me, you probably want to know where he’ll be heading this season. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the entire Anthony Bourdain ‘Parts Unknown’ Season 10 Schedule.

Anthony Bourdain ‘Parts Unknown’ Season 10 Schedule

October 1st: Singapore

I’ve never been to Singapore, but it’s been on my bucket list. If nothing else, Singapore is home to Changi Airport, considered the best airport in the world. As with most episodes, Bourdain will sample local cuisine, but also dive into the political realities that locals face on a daily basis. In this case, Singapore’s lack of free press and civil liberties.

October 8th: French Alps

You know where this is headed. When a show is based in France, it’s going to feature some of the best food in the world. Bourdain is expected to sample caviar, steak, fine cheeses and other find foods. Furthermore, his team makes a quick jaunt across the Italian border to partake in a quick sampling of gnocchi, ravioli, and polenta. This will be a can’t miss episode for all the true foodies out there.

October 15th: Lagos, Nigeria

I’ll be the first to admit, I know nothing about Nigerian food. Anthony’s trip will likely be a learning experience for most viewers. Apparently Lagos was once considered the most dangerous city in the world. Now, it’s become the epicenter of modern Africa. The “Parts Unknown” crew will sample local food, music and culture.

October 22nd: Pittsburgh

Well, Pittsburgh will be a little different than Lagos, that’s for sure. But that’s what makes this show so great. Anthony will explore the the contrast between traditional blue collar Pittsburgh cuisine (steak, potatoes, sausage) to an emerging high-tech foodie scene. So basically my favorite foods vs. Liz’s hipster foodie stuff. This should be a good one!

October 29th: Sri Lanka

From Pittsburgh to Sri Lanka, we’re in for some more culture shock with this episode. Anthony explores a country that has found peace after civil war. Bourdain is expected to sample in street food along with a crab curry, what he considers the “holy grail” of Sri Lankan cuisine.

November 5th: Puerto Rico

The timing couldn’t be better for this episode. Puerto Rico is really struggling right now with budget issues, the impact of Hurricane Irma, and the Zika virus. My wife and I found Puerto Rico to be a charming place and we’re excited to go back sometime soon. Bourdain is expected to sample traditional Puerto Rican “grandma food” while on the main island. Additionally, he’ll travel to the island of Vieques for a meal at a sustainable farm. I can’t wait for this episode!

November 19th: Seattle

This episode takes a look at the massive tech hub and how it’s employees mesh with Seattle’s traditional laid back scene. Bourdain will explore the newly legalized cannabis industry, sample fresh oysters, and fish and chips. Furthermore, he’ll explore Seattle’s rich history of rock music with musician Mark Lanegan.

November 26th: Southern Italy

Where better to finish the season than Southern Italy? Anthony will explore the regions’ Christian and Pagan traditions. Bourdain will also visit director Francis Ford Coppola at his hotel Palazzo Margherita. Along the way he’ll be sampling some of the finest food the area has to offer.

Bottom Line

‘Parts Unkown’ is a great show if you’re into travel, good food, and interacting with locals on your vacations. It’s not a show I necessarily tune into the second it airs, but it’s great filler space on the DVR. Anytime you’re bored and have nothing to watch, Bourdain can be relied upon to fill the void.
